Ferdinand Doederlein (1834-1915) Diaries
The collection contains the original diary of Doederlein's travels, transcriptions and translations, notes, and photographs. Two memory books contain entries dated 1857-1859 by his parents and siblings and by people at Neuendettelsau, including Gottfried Fritschel and Wilhelm Loehe, prior to his coming to the U.S.

John W. C. Fey (1903-2001) Collection
The collection focuses mainly on Rev. Fey's work in African-American missions. It includes books, manuscripts, papers, and photos. The books include "Piney Woods and Its Story" and "The Spirit of Piney Woods", both by Laurence C. Jones; "History of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People" by Robert L. Jack; and "Social Conditions of the Negro in the Hill District of Pittsburgh" compiled by Ira De A. Reid.
