Concordia Historical Institute General Biographical Files
This is a collection of worship service bulletins, biographical sketches, small photos, obituaries, and other brief items organized alphabetically. This collection is a great location to begin researching the basic facts of someone's life, especially rostered ordained and commissioned ministers of the LCMS. There are occasional materials for lay people if they have had a national role in the life of the LCMS.

This is a Concordia Historical Institute Generated Collection. It holds photos of various sizes (8 1/2" x 11" or smaller) organized by National and International Geography. Concordia Historical Institute Internal Collection
This collection contains minutes of the CHI Board of Governors Minutes, along with subcommittees. There are also binders of photos detailing past museum displays. Many of the records for the Lutheran Archivist's and Historian's Conference are also held here. There is a detailed collection of various research efforts undertaken by CHI over the years and the historical receiving records. There are many other boxes about various CHI activities and properties.
