This is a small collection of papers documenting the key events in the life of Rev. Harvey Groth, including his ordination, installations, and obituary.

The collection contains biographical information, sermons, and various articles.

The collection contains photographs apparently taken in and around Springfield, Illinois, about 1885. The subjects are most likely pastors, professors and seminary students. These are unidentified; those that could be identified in the donation have been filed in the CHI Photo Collection.

The collection contains a family history and detailed class notes of Joh. Gottfried Gruber for a course on Anthropologie (Anthropology) in 1829.
