Frederick Henry Brunn (1878-1963) Annotated Baier's Compendium
Scope and Contents
The collection contains four volumes of Baier's Compendium which are interleaved with blank pages. Many of those blank pages are annotated by Brunn. Two of the volumes, v.3, parts a and b, have "Fr. Brunn" and "Fr. Brunn, '99" on the fly leaf, respectively. Some of the annotations are in Gabelsberger shorthand. Since Brunn matriculated at Concordia Seminary in 1898, it is believed that his notes are from either Class III (1898-1899) or Class II (1899-1900) years. It is therefore surmised that these would be the class notes from Dr. Franz Pieper's class on Dogmatics.
