Biographical / Historical
Walther was born 15 October 1889 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Pastor Johannes and Louisa (nee Hattstaedt) Walther and grandson of Pastor Otto Hermann Walther. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, in 1911 and served as a traveling missionary in Manitoba and Ontario, Canada, and as pastor in Hopkins, Vernon Center, Swanville, Walker-Akeley-Hackensack-Guthrie and Ormsby, Minnesota. He died on 10 January 1977 at Wentzville, Missouri, and is buried in Saint Louis.
