Scope and Contents
This is a wall-mounted crank telephone labeled "CONTROL ROOM TELEPHONE NO. 2". It is a black wooden box with black metal parts. The back is 8” x 11 1/4” and the box is 6” deep with a hinged front that is screwed shut. This has a crank on the right side, two bells on the front, a hole on the top side where a wire emerges to a black handset and base, a nail in the top, four screw terminals on the bottom, a hole drilled at each corner for attaching to the wall, and newer plastic-coated wires that protrude from the back.
