This is a theological diploma given to Calvin P. Thompson by Luther College (New Orleans, Louisiana). As he was the only theological graduate of the short-lived institution, this is the only diploma of its kind. In lettering and design it is very ornate. It is dated June 27, 1910, and signed by F. Wenger, President, and R. A. Wilde, Secretary.In the lower left it bears a copper-colored metalic seal and remnants of a yellow ribbon. It is folded back on both sides, torn, water-stained, and extremely yellowed and embrittled by age.
