C. F. W. Walther
Scope and Contents
These items had been on the January 1988 accessioning shelf. They were loaned to an artist who was painting portraits of the Concordia Seminary presidents for the Seminary's 150th anniversary. When they were returned there was no donor information with the items, but they appear to be a donation from the office of the Seminary president. A photograph in the Alfred O. Fuerbringer biographical file shows Dr. Fuerbringer in his academic gown in the president's office. On the wall behind him are these portraits of Walther, Pieper, Ludwig Fuerbringer and Sieck. Set of 5 black and white portraits of past Seminary presidents, gold-painted frames: C. F. W. Walther, M1; Franz Pieper, M2; Ludwig Fuerbringer, M3; Louis J. Sieck, M4; Alfred O. Fuerbringer, M5;
