This is a commemorative plate (7.25" diameter). An image of Ziegenbalg is centered on the plate. Below his picture is the legend: "Bartholomäus Ziegenbalg". The outer legend reads, "The Tranquebar Tercentenary Celebrations | 1706 | 2006 | The First Protestant Missionary to India". The plate was created by Clay Craft Fine Bone China in India. The printing was by Shivom Decals.
