Missions -- Lutheran Church

This is an original artwork (19 1/4" x 25 1/4") of Rev. Hill seated by Freddie H. Larkin. Rev. Hill is possibly Rev. William O. Hill who served a parish in Yonkers, New York. There is an accompanying letter which offers some insight on the purpose for the artwork.

The collection contains files mostly dealing with the Lutheran Church of the Philippines, including conference and committee minutes, statistics, linguistic notes, surveys, correspondence, and printed materials. There are also files concerning Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis) and the doctrinal controversy.

A walnut plaque that is heart-shaped with brass plate reading: "The Lutheran Women's Missionary League to Angela Rehwinkel (RN) in recognition of 30 years of service in Medical Missions in Ambur, India."

The collection contains a scrapbook.

The collection contains an annotated "Lehre und Wehre", a "Small Catechism", correspondence, and notes on C. F. W. Walther; photographs; sermons; manuscripts of Philippine radio broadcasts.
