Biographical / Historical
At the 1985 Michigan District Convention, Circuit Mission Councils were formed. In Circuit #41 Downriver, the Downriver Mission Planning Council, a non-profit corporation was formed on May 10, 1986. Plans were made to begin planting a new mission church in the Brownstown Township area. The first worship service was held on March 20, 1988. A Declaration of Intention was signed on June 21, 1988. The Charter of Fellowship in the LCMS, Michigan District, was signed on June 26, 1988. The Articles of Incorporation were signed on August 11, 1988. This congregation closed on April 26, 1998.
