Biographical / Historical
Fick was born 2 February 1822 at Doenhausen, Hannover, the son of Otto Fick. He completed his theological training in 1844 at Goettingen and came to the United States, where he was ordained on 30 May 1847 at New Melle, Missouri, after attending the founding convention of the Missouri Synod. He later served parishes in Saint Louis (Bethlehem), Detroit, Collinsville, Illinois, and Boston. He died 30 April 1885.
