The collection consists of a typed manuscript, "Diokletian: Tragoedie eines Menschen." The cover envelope bore the inscription: "dedicated to Mo. Synod"

This 38 page drama “Diokletian” with the subtitle ‘Tragedy of a Human” was written by Armin Gebhardt, Tiergartenstrasse 52, Dresden, Germany, as his fifth play (the first four burnt at the bombing of Dresden). Gebhardt writes in his foreword that he is 21 years old (that puts his birthdate approximately in 1924/25), that he was seriously wounded in the war and has a severe heart condition.
