Scope and Contents
The collection contains paperwork on the following: The Lutheran Church-USA, Slovak Evangelical Lutheran Church conventions and Board of Directors meetings, the International Lutheran Theological Consultation, the Lutheran World Federation, the National Lutheran Council, the Theologians' Conference, Concordia Historical Institute, Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis), the Doctrinal Unity Committee, CTCR, and the Lutheran Haven. There are also addresses, essays, manuscripts, news releases, sermons, scrapbooks, and correspondence.

Biographical / Historical
John Daniel was born on 8 November 1912. He graduated from Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis, Missouri) in 1936. From 1951 to 1961 he served as president of the Eastern District Pastoral Conference of the Slovak Evangelical Lutheran Church. From 1960 to 1968 he served as president of the Evangelical Lutheran Synodical Conference of North America. He died on 14 July 1982.
