Biographical / Historical
George B. Eschenbacher was born 15 February 1910 at Brainerd, Minnesota, the son of George and Margaret (nee Gunderman) Eschenbacher. He graduated from Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis) in 1932 and served parishes at Bertha and Hewitt, Minnesota; Paullina and Manning, Iowa; and Sauk Centre, Minnesota, through 1973. He was second vice-president of the Iowa District West from 1956 to 1959. He was married to Hulda (nee Koehn) and the couple had five daughters: Rosemary (Watts), Arlene (Cooper), Melissa (Johns), Janice (Melles), Becky (Miller). Eschenbacher died 15 October 1985 at Fort Collins, Colorado. His funeral took place 28 October 1985 at Randall, Minnesota, and he was buried at Brainerd, Minnesota.
