Biographical / Historical
Theodore Eckhardt was born on June 12, 1882 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From 1918 to 1919 he was the office manager of the Chicago based Army and Navy Board. In 1920 he became the financial secretary for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. He worked for the Concordia Historical Institute in that same role from 1927 to 1942 and as treasure from 1942 to 1956. He died on January 14, 1968.
