Biographical / Historical
Ernst W. Ebert was born 10 December 1893 in Bonduel, Wisconsin. He graduated from Concordia Teachers College (River Forest, Illinois) in 1914 and taught at Nazareth Lutheran Church (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 1914-1919); Zion Lutheran Church (Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 1919-1945); and Bethany Lutheran Church (Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 1945-1965). He served on the Board of Christian Education, Eastern District, 1915-1919; Board of Directors, South Wisconsin District, 1939-1957; Constitutional Committee, South Wisconsin District, 1939-1961. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Milwaukee Lutheran High School Association. He died 15 March 1976 at Milwaukee.
