Biographical / Historical

Andrew Buehner was born on 25 January 1905. He attended Concordia College (Saint Paul) and graduated in 1928 from Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis). Buehner spent most of the next twenty-two years working in India, as a missionary, as secretary for the Trivandrum District (1928-1929 and 1945-1947), as Director of Education in Kerala (1945-1950). After returning to the states, he served on the Board of Directors for the Northern Nebraska District form 1954 to 1957. From 1961 to 1973 he worked as an editor for Concordia Publishing House. Buehner died on 4 May 1984.
