Biographical / Historical

Pastor Crook was born June 24, 1923 in Speaker, Michigan, and grew up in Hazel Park and Van Dyke, Michigan. He attended Concordia Theological Seminary, Springfield, Illinois, and was ordained in 1947. He received a B.S. in education from the University of Omaha, an M.A. in guidance and counseling from Case-Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, and a Ph.D. in counseling and behavioral studies from the University of Wisconsin (Madison). He served parishes in Iowa and Ohio and was an assistant professor at Concordia College (Milwaukee); US/UK Educational Commission teacher/headmaster in Kitui and Narok, Kenya; and professor at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. He retired in 1986 and died May 6, 2010.
