Biographical / Historical

Ernest Brockmann was born on 28 July 1905 in Bertha, Minnesota. He graduated from Saint Paul College in Concordia, Missouri in 1925 and from Concordia Theological Seminary in Saint Louis in 1929. He served at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Saint Genevieve, Missouri, and Zion Lutheran Church in Valley Park, Missouri before taking a call to Saint John Lutheran Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas in 1943. Pastor Brockmann served Saint John until 1975, and was pastor emeritus until his death on 17 June 1983.
