Scope and Contents
The collection consists of a small amount of correspondence, 1932-1936, which contains biographical information on the Ahner family and Pastor Frederick William John; reports to the English Mission Board of the Missouri Synod from Springdale, Arkansas, 1902-1904; and seminary class notes on Ephesians in a bound notebook.

Biographical / Historical
Walter C. Cook was born 10 December 1872 in Canton Turgau, Switzerland, the son of Franz and Elizabeth Schmid Gugg (Cook). He died 5 December 1965 at Saint Louis, Missouri. He was the first ministerial student at Saint John College (Winfield, Kansas) and graduated from Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis) in 1901. He served parishes in Springdale, Arkansas; Perry, Oklahoma; Lincoln, Waterville and Clay Center, Kansas; and Rader-Conway-Morgan, Missouri, the latter parish from 1921 to 1928.
