Lorenz F. Blankenbuehler Annotations and Correspondence
Scope and Contents
The annotations are emendations for a Bible dictionary, written in a large Concordia Triglotta notebook. The correspondence is related to Blankenbuehler's service on the Sunday School Hymnal Committee (1953) and the Synod Seal Committee (1947-1948).

Biographical / Historical
Lorenz Blankenbuehler was born on 7 February 1886. He graduated from Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis) in 1911. From 1929 to 1956 he was a member of the Intersynodical Committee on Hymnology and Liturgics. From 1952 to 1960 he served as the editor for the "Lutheran Witness". He also collaborated on the Lutheran Hymnal. Blankenbuehler died in February of 1964.
