Biographical / Historical
Gardus Bertram was born on 8 February 1849. He served as pastor for a German Lutheran congregation in South Australia from 1875 to 1886, during which time he married Agnes. From 1886 to 1891 Gardus serves as pastor for a similar congregation in New Zealand. In 1981 he moved his family to the United States. He died on 24 November 1929.
