Biographical / Historical
Fred Berg was born on 20 March 1856. He attended Concordia College, Fort Wayne, from 1870 to 1875 and Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, from 1875 to 1878. He then became the first resident missionary of the Negro Missions. From 1911 until his death, Berg taught at Immanuel Lutheran College in Greensboro, North Carolina. He died in 1936.
