Biographical / Historical
Walter Baumgartner was born on 1 June 1903. He attended Concordia College (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) and graduated from Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis) in 1927. He served as pastor of Saint Matthew Lutheran Church (Milk River, Alberta, Canada) from 1927-1928, and Good Shepherd Lutheran (Chicago, Illinois) from 1930-1976. He retired in 1976, and died on June 28, 1989.
