Content Description
This accession arrived with 25 volumes. Most were either duplicate or outside of the CHI scope. There were two sets of volumes one and two of Calov's Bible Commentary which were added to the CHI Rare Books Collection. The remaining retained volumes are itemized below. There is also a small collection of biographical information.
- The New Testament World by Alfred Rehwinkel [?] (152 pages + Bibliography). This volume contains hand-drawn maps, sketches, and notes by Herman R. Mayer [?].

The Mayer family includes five generations of pastors. They are August Mayer (Germany Seminary 1840s), Emanuel Mayer (Saint Louis Seminary 1880), Martin Mayer (Saint Louis Seminary 1909), Herman Mayer (Saint Louis Seminary 1945), and Richard Mayer (Saint Louis Seminary 1982).
