Scope and Contents
The collection consists of a manuscript, "Christian Education in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod," proposed as a chapter for a history of the LCMS but not published. The collection also contains correspondence regarding the manuscript with Lawrence B. Meyer and others, 1966-1968, and additional writings on education.

Biographical / Historical
Adolph Herman Kramer (b. May 9, 1897, Frohna, Missouri) graduated from Concordia Teachers' College (River Forest, Illinois) in 1920. He served as a teacher at Trinity Lutheran Church (Faribault, Minnesota), 1920-1941; as principal at Saint Paul Lutheran School (Melrose Park, Illinois), 1941-1947 and as assistant director and later director of Christian education of the Northern Illinois District of the LCMS. He died July 8, 1970, in Faribault, Minnesota.
