Biographical / Historical

Edward Koehler was born on 31 October 1875 in Wolfenbuettel, Braunschweig, Germany. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, in 1899. Although most of his life was devoted to teaching, mainly at the Lutheran Teachers Seminary, Addison, and Concordia Teachers College, River Forest, both Illinois, from 1909 to 1951, he also served as a pastor and was the author of several books and pamphlets.

He died on 12 May 1951.
