Biographical / Historical

Dr. Jack Greising was born December 20, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Jewel (Mayfield) Greising and lived in the Marquette [Michigan] area since 1969. He received his BS degree from Concordia Teacher's College (River Forest, Illinois) and his Master's and Phd in History from Saint Louis University. He was a professor of history at Northern Michigan University where he began his tenure in February 1969. He was given emeritus status on August 10, 1992 and was a member of the history honor society, Phi Alpha Theta. He was a member of redeemer Lutheran Church (Marquette, Michigan) and was a deacon in the Northern Wisconsin District of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.
