Biographical / Historical
Prince of Peace was founded by former members of Saint Paul Lutheran Church, Coldwater, Michigan. Doctrinal concerns relating to the gifts of the Holy Spirit caused these members to feel the need to form another congregation. Initially, services were held in a hall above the Fire Department Station in Quincy. The charter fopr the new congregation was accepted on August 28, 1977. A building committee was organized in 1978, and the church building was dedicated on August 26, 1979. The parsonage was sold in November 1988, and a fellowship hall was added to the building during 2005-2006. This congregation closed on July 15, 2018.
