Biographical / Historical
A small group of Lutherans began gathering together in the Logan County School for services conducted by Rev. Von Gemmingen in 1941. Grace Lutheran was organized on July 19, 1942. Services were held at the school until 1947. The dedication of the firs building took place on July 18, 1948. As the congregation grew, , more space was needed. A building fund was set up in July 1956. Trinity Lutheran Church in King voted to merge with Grace in 1957. Trinity King had been founded in September 1909. Paving the way for Grace to become a member of the LCMS was the translation of the church constitution from German to Enblish, which was done in February 1953. A new church building was constructed in 1957.
