Biographical / Historical
In 1998, the Quad Cities Lutheran High School Association was formed. The QCLHSA is made up of eight LCMS member congregations which govern the school through an elected Board of Directors. Delegates represent area congregations at Board meetings. The initial step was to complete a Genesis Study to verify if starting a Lutheran High School was feasible. The climate was very favorable for this. In August 2001, Christ Lutheran High School opened to eight students. Through financial ups and downs, CLHS has continued to serve the congregations of the Quad Cities and their children. Christ and Christianity pervade the entire school day, and to the original emphasis on computer technology, CLHS has moved to a classical methodology and curriculum. The vision of the mission of CLHS is "Providing a Classical Christian Education using Modern Technology".
