Biographical / Historical

Faith Lutheran Church is the second youngest church in Richland County. The first services of the congregation were held on January 7, 1962 at Prospect School. The congregation then worshipped at Mansfield Seventh-day Adventist Church until February 1967. Rev, Harold Kallio was called by the Ohio District as full-time pastor and mission developer, and Faith's first permanent pastor, Rev. Herbert Krieger, was installed on July 4, 1965. Groundbreaking for the church building occurtred in June 1966, and it was dedicated on February 5, 1967. The congregation colsed in 2019.
