Scope and Contents
The collection consists of four speeches Rev. Dr.Krohn gave at the close of the Seward, Nebraska 1954 Convention, the opening address at the 23rd Convention of the Southern Nebraska District in 1957, a President's Address in 1958 (occasion/location not mentioned), and as far as can be identified as his work, a sermon at the Centennial Celebration of California Lutheranism, Oakland, California on June 21, 1959.

Biographical / Historical
Henry Frederick Krohn was born near Omaha, Nebraska on August 1, 1890. He entered the seminary in Springfield, Illinois in September 1910. He received his first call in June 1916 in Rensselaer, Indiana. He married Augusta Siegert, with whom he had eight children, losing one in infancy, and two other sons died in 1950 and 1951. He also served churches in Kansas, Nebraska, and Wyoming. He was a hospital chaplain at a state hospital from 1950-1953. He served as secretary, visitor of Circuit 9, first and second Vice Presidents and President of the Southern Nebraska District. He died on January 31, 1977.
