Biographical / Historical
The LCMS had begun mission work in Richmond in 1905. Services started being held regularly in 1909 on Sunday afternoons in a Presbyterian church building. A Ladies Aid Society was organized in 1910. The congregation remained a mission from 1912-1925. On 6/8/1925, the mission was organized as Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. The church building was dedicated in May 1928. In 1944, Trinity's first daughter congregation was organized in Rollingwood. In 1959, the church building was sold to the district as a subsidized parish, Mount Olive Lutheran Church. In 1961, the new church and administrative building were dedicated. A school was opened in 1946. Another school building was in use from 1984-1989. The congregation closed in February 2010.
