Biographical / Historical
The congregation was organized 10 January 1913, together with a sister congregation, Saint Paul Lutheran Church (Dry Creek Precinct near Plainview), as a joint parish. This took place when Zion Lutheran Church (Plainview, Nebraska) moved into town. Members for whom travel to Plainview to worship was difficult organized this rural parish.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
The original manuscript was probably sent to the Missouri Synod statistician in about 1917. It was removed from the CHI "C" files of geographical materials in September 2007.
