Biographical / Historical
Dr. Walter W. Stuenkel was born March 2, 1912 in Concordia, Missouri. He graduated from Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis in 1936, and taught at Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield, Illinois for one year. He served Trinity in Freistatt, Missouri; Trinity in Saint Joseph, Michigan, and served as President of Concordia College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He also served as vice-president of the Michigan District. Pastor Stuenkel held two doctorates, a Doctor of Divinity from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, and a Ph.D. from Marquette University in Milwaukee. He died on 19 May 2001.
