Lutheran Council in the United States of America (LCUSA) Records
Scope and Contents
The microfilm records consist of the minutes and agendas of meetings of the Lutheran Council in the U.S.A. from 1966 to 1987. The original records are in the Archives of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in Chicago. Concordia Historical Institute holds a microfilm copy of all records of the LCUSA in which The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod was involved as a member.
The print collection consists of files from the Executive Committee, the Division of Theological Studies, the Lutheran Film Associates, the Department of Medical Mission Services, the Department of Immigration and Refugee Services, the Division of Services to Military Personnel, the Department of Latin American Relations, and the First Vice President's Office. It contains the constitution, proposals, minutes, news releases, scripts, biographical information, agendas, and financial records.
