Biographical / Historical
Loeber was born 18 March 1890 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Pastor Gotthold H. A. Loeber and Bertha (nee Gast) Loeber. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, in 1912 and was ordained and installed as pastor of Messiah Lutheran Church, Detroit, Michigan, on 18 August 1912. He spent his entire ministry there, retiring in 1971. He died on 7 May 1980. He was a member and recording secretary of the Mission Board of the English District from 1930 to 1954 and contributed to Concordia Pulpit and Portals of Prayer.
