Biographical / Historical
John Sillak was born on 11 July 1864 in Sorpart, Estonia. He completed his studies in Languages (of which he spoke 17) in Europe in 1888 and his post-graduate work at Concordia Seminary, Springfield in 1901. He was ordained and installed in 1901 at Saint Peter in Josephsburg, Canada. He served for 52 years throughout Western Canada. He died at the age of 89 on 5 December 1953.
