Biographical / Historical

Edmund Seuel was born on 21 April 1865 in Vincennes, Indiana. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis in 1886. During his life, Seuel served as a missionary in Ogallala, Nebraska, taught at Walther College in Saint Louis, managed Concordia Publishing House, helped found the Lutheran Layman's League, served as the treasurer of the synod and on its Board of Directors. Seuel died on 9 May 1951.
