    Transcription of Letter of Recommendation (see above) Carl Ehregott Schuricht aus Wallbach hat im Monat July 1832 seine Laufbahn als Schreiber in meiner Expedition begonnen, und da bis September 1838 ununterbrochen ausgehelten, und sich dabei treu, fleiszig, geschickt und ehrlich, ueberhaupt aber zu meiner Zufriedenheit betragen, auch nur wegen beabsichtigte Auswanderung seine Entlassung erhalten. Biographical / Historical

Schuricht was born April 26, 1818 in Wallbach, Saxony, the son of Johann Gottlob and Anna Rosine Schuricht. He was a member of the Saxon Immigration of 1838-1839 and later a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Saint Louis, Missouri. He married Marie Elisabeth Christine Hedwig Kraeft July 30, 1843 at Trinity Lutheran Church.
