Biographical / Historical
Luke Schnake was born on 19 August 1952 in El Paso, Texas. After graduating from Concordia College in River Forest, Illinois, Schnake enrolled at Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield, Illinois. He graduated from the Seminary (after it moved to Fort Wayne) in 1978, and was called as Pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rock Falls, Illinois. In 1983, he was called as Senior Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Marengo, Illinois, where he served until 1989. From 1989-1997, he served as Senior Pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Since 1997, he has served as Senior Pastor of Christ Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Nebraska.
