Scope and Contents
The collection contains his autobiography, photos, sermons, various documents, a few letters, anniversary/memorial booklets, and a "Pastor's New Testament Lexicon." The addition in 2010 includes translations of his sermons provided and translated by his grandson Robert Frick.

Biographical / Historical
C. C. Schmidt was born on November 8, 1843 in Bonfeld, Wurttemberg, Germany. He graduated from Fort Wayne in 1865 and served congregations in New York, Ohio, Indiana, and Missouri. He also served as a circuit visitor to the Central District, president of the Western District, vice-president of the Missouri Synod, and a member of the Board of Control of Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis. Schmidt died on 14 October 1925. Identified as Carl Christoph, Charles Christopher, and C. C.
