Frederick W. Abel
Frederic W. Abel was born 20 April 1888 in Meriden, Connecticut, the son of Pastor Albert and Pauline (nee Patzlaff) Abel. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, in 1911 and served as a professor at Concordia College, New Orleans, from 1914 to 1916. He served parishes in Crowly, New Orleans, Louisiana, and Glendale, Long Island, New York, the latter from 1925 to 1956. He died 4 December 1961 at Setauket, Long Island, New York, and is bured in Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.
