Scope and Contents
Records of official acts and folder of loose material found in the volumes. These records were microfilmed and scanned to digital images in May 2010. The collection also includes a DVD containing scanned images of photographs, newspaper articles, documents and other materials on the history of the congregation.

Biographical / Historical
Saint John Lutheran Church was organized in 1878 by the Reverend August Dankworth. They joined the Synod as a member of the Central District the following year. Saint John had a parochial school, which opened the same year it was organized. In 1963, the Central District was split between Indiana and Ohio, of which Saint John became a member of the latter.
Saint John Lutheran Church closed in 1985.
