Biographical / Historical
Church work began at Saint John in 1870. The church was organized the same year and joined the synod in 1873. The church building and cemetery were both in Iron Mountain until 1899 when the church building was moved about 5 miles up the road to Bismarck, where many of the congregants were already living and had been meeting together since 1897.
