Biographical / Historical
Ernst Rudolph was a well known artist in Baltimore, Maryland who immigrated to America from Eibau, Saxony. Upon his arrival in Baltimore, he became a member of Saint Paul (now called Zion) Lutheran Church. His artistic abilities were recognized by David Bendann, who hired him as chief artist. Rudolph eventually opened his own studio, and painted many portraits and religious pictures.
