Biographical / Historical
Clarence Rittmann was born on 20 October 1903 in Seymour, Indiana. He attended Concordia College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and graduated from Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis in 1928. Upon graduation from the Seminary, Rittmann accepted a call as missionary to South India. Rittmann spent his entire career in India, and retired in 1970. After retirement, he served a number of vacancies in Missouri and Louisiana before moving to Watertown, SD in 1989. Rittmann died on 8 November 2004 in Watertown, SD.
