Biographical / Historical
Polster was born 30 January 1889 in Spencer County, Indiana. He attended Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, and was ordained in 1914. His first congregation was in Foster, Nebraska. He served several congregations in Nebraska until he developed tuberculosis. The family moved to Texas in 1934 because of his health, and he died 7 July 1937 in El Paso, Texas. He and his wife, Lucy nee Mueller, are buried in the cemetery of Saint John Lutheran Church, Evanston, Indiana.
